TINY KIDD...BORN AGAIN!!: Having Fun With Therapy

At 4 weeks old, Keely Skinner almost lost her life. Keely was rushed to the hospital with high fever and seizures. She had come down with a deadly form of Meningitis (severe infection located in the fluid around the brain) which then progressed into Encephalitis (which is a severe infection located directly on the brain). Keely continues to suffer from developmental delays, tremors and from a chronic seizure disorder, having multiple seizures every day. At two years old, Keely has severe physical limitations, she is still at the stage of a newborn 0-3 months. Through all life’s challenges, Keely remains to be the happiest, most loving child; inspiring and touching the lives of everyone she meets.

Having Fun With Therapy

Keely is doing great! She's been completely off of her sleep schedule because of the garage sale and all the prep before hand, that we have spent the past week trying to correct it. She had a great morning at therapy today, she was happy and upbeat, Emily (her fabulous physical therapist :) was even able to trick her into doing tummy time for a couple of minutes before she could realize what was happening. Emily is AWESOME!

If you ever see a picture of Keely with an I-phone while doing therapy, just know that the only song that is playing is Third Day's, "Born Again".....That song is her FAVORITE song and the only way we can get her to endure tummy time.....whatever works...
